Timmonsville, SC – "Jimbo", Jimmy Alton Powers, Jr.,  passed away on Monday, August 30, 2021.

Funeral services will be Thursday Sept. 2, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  The family will have a time of visitation beginning at 5:00 p.m. before the service.

Mr. Powers was born in Florence County, the son of the late Alton Jimmy Powers and Belva Rae Evans Powers.  He was a self-employed sales distributor. "Jimbo" enjoyed hunting and fishing. He was a member of Palmetto Street Church of God.

Surviving are daughter, Holly Simonsen; step-sons, William Brown and Johnny Boan,II; brother, Ronald Evans and his grandchildren, Brooke Lockamy and Jaxson Simonsen.
