Lexington, SC - Jessie Mayzelle Ammons, 94 , died in a nursing facility in Columbia, SC on Monday evening Jan. 19, 2015.

Funeral services will be Friday, Jan. 23, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. in the Mausoleum of Florence Memorial Gardens. Entombment will follow the service. The family will receive visitors at the Mausoleum from 3 to 4:00 p.m. before the service.

Born in Greensboro, North Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Cecil Clyde and Charlie Mable Star Fields.

Surviving are three sons, Carl (Glen Meadows) Turner, Columbia, Chris (Sharon) Turner, Florence, Craig (Carrie) Turner, Lexington, SC; a daughter, Sharon (Bill) Miles, Summerton, SC; one brother, Weldon Fields, Greensboro, NC; ten grandchildren and a number of great and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husbands, Robert Leftwich, Clifford Turner and Andrew Ammons, and a daughter, Debbie Gurganus.
