Margaret "Jean" Hobson, 97, closed her earthly chapter this morning, Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025.

She will be buried in Charlotte, North Carolina at a later time.

Jean, as she was known to family and friends, was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Ernest Tucker and Mary Josephine Tiptom McKenzie.  Jean was a member of Lamar United Methodist Church.

She was married to the late Erban Hobson.

Surviving are her daughter, Linda McKay and seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren and a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Hobson.    She is preceded in death by three sons, Richard, Bruce and Kent Hobson.

The family ask that Memorials be made to Lamar United Methodist Church, P O. Box 555, Lamar, SC 29069.
