Florence, SC – Jean Marie Atkinson Haselden Broadway, 81, passed away on Monday,Jan. 8, 2018 after a brief illness.

A funeral service will be Friday, Jan 12, 2018 at 12:00 at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.Entombment will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery.The family will have a time of visitation before the service beginning at 11:00 a.m. at the funeral home.

Jean was born in Florence, the daughter of the late Lacy Curtis and Pearl Pierce Atkinson.She attended Calvary Baptist Church for more than twenty years and most recently attended First Baptist Church of Florence. Jean Marie's Beauty Salon was opened in 1964. For many years she served the ladies of Florence with fashion and style.

Surviving are two sons, Glenn (Cathy) Haselden, Florence, Charles, Jr. (Harriett) Haselden,Cheraw; a brother, Johnny (June) Broadway, Florence; her grandchildren, Tiffany Haselden (Chris)Johnson,Danion Heath Haselden, Adrianne Haselden (Matthew) Fisher;four great-grandchildren;a sister-in-law, Syble Atkinson and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her daughter Sheryl Jean Haselden, three brothers, Murray Broadway, George Atkinson, Ray Atkinson, two sisters, Margie Broadway Brinkley and Marian Broadway.
