Jay Reginald Pendarvis, Sr. 70, died Thursday, Nov, 19, 2015.

The family will receive visitors from 3 to 5:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, Sunday Nov, 22, 2015.

Mr. Pendarvis was born in Lynchburg, SC, the son of the late Cecil Kessler and Ruby Parker Pendarvis. He served his country in the US Air Force. Before retiring, he owned and operated Captain Rex's Fishing Charter Service in Little River, SC.

Surviving are his wife of Timmonsville, Lisa Trott Pendarvis; a son, Jay "J.J." Pendarvis,Jr. Lumberton, NC; a daughter, Kessler Reynolds, Sumter, SC; a brother, Jack Pendarvis, Simpsonville, SC and three grandchildren, Parker Pendarvis, Marley Ann and Aida Grace Reynolds. He is preceded in death by a brother, Cecil James "Jim" Pendarvis.
