Timmonsville- Janie Powell Stewart, 59, died on January 6, 2017 at the McLeod Hospice House.

A funeral service will be Sunday, January 8, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. The family will speak to those attending after the service.

Jane was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late Murphy Leroy and Mary Anna Atkinson Powell. She was an Assistant Manager for Burger King in Florence.

Surviving are: a son, Brad (Valtisha) Stewart, West Columbia; two daughters, Tammy (David) Gainey, Hartsville, April (Gabriel) Hunt, Sellers; three brothers, David, Butch and Lynn Powell and ten grandchildren.
