Janie Strickland Lovelace , 71 went to be with the Lord on Friday morning Sept. 6, 2024.

Funeral services will be Sunday, Sept. 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Bethel Baptist Church near Olanta, SC.  Burial will follow at Byrd Cemetery in Timmonsville, SC.  The family will have a time of visitation Saturday Sept. 7, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Lovelace was the daughter of the late Maxie and Eleanor Lynch Strickland.  She attended and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Janie worked in several different jobs during her career, as a testor at Electro-Motive and her last job was at Blue Cross-Blue Shield.

Surviving are her husband, Douglas Lovelace; two sons, Ronnie (Amber) Lovelace, Mike Lovelace; two sisters, Valerie Lee, Mary Hunt and her grandchildren, Patrick (Amanda) Lovelace, Elizabeth (Thomas) Kirkley and those special great-grands, Payton and Dayton Lovelace and Bailey Rust.
