Florence- Janice Weaver Jordan, 82, died Thursday, March 3, 2016 at her residence after an illness.

Funeral services will be Saturday March 5, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, Florence. Interment will follow at Lake Swamp Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.

Mrs. Jordan was born in Tarboro, NC, the daughter of the late Harry Lee and Euri Bell Teagu Weaver. She owned and operated Artistic Floral Service by Jordan, before she retired. Janice was a member and Past Matron of Mecca Lodge # 278, Florence.

Janice was married to the late Walter Allen Jordan for 64 years at the time of his death in 2014.

Surviving are a son, Harry Jordan; two daughters, Debra Jordan, Rhonda(James)Evans; eleven grandchildren and twenty-eight great- grandchildren. She is preceded in death by two sons, Boyd Allen "Buck" Jordan, Mallory D. Jordan; four brothers, Starness Weaver,Max Weaver,Wilton, "B.I." Weaver,Gilmore Weaver; two sisters, Ann Cox,Lou Ellen Newsome and a daughter-in-law,Ernestine Jordan and her grandchild, Harry L. Jordan, Jr.
