Florence, SC – Rebecca "Jane" Sox, 64, of Florence, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.

Jane was born in Abingdon, Virginia, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Virginia Shelley Franklin.

She retired after several years as a manager for Blue Cross/Blue Shield (CHAMPUS). She loved her family and friends. If you came to her house, she always said, "the first time you were a visitor after that you were family" and if you ever left her house hungry it was your own fault.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Archie Sox Sr.; brothers Benjamin Franklin Jr, Allen Franklin, David Lee Franklin; brothers-in-law, Curtis Barton Sr, and Edwin Watson; and a nephew Curtis Barton Jr.

Surviving is her son, Michael (Raven) Eastridge; stepson, Archie "Bubba" (Becky) Sox Jr; daughter, Lori (Jamie) Port; stepdaughters, Loretta (Steve) Green and Wendy (Scott) McKinley; sisters, Anne Barton, and Sue Watson; sister-in-law Mary Franklin; a special "grandson" Zach Tickle; along with a number of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, cousins, aunts and uncles, also a very special friend, Brenda Stanley.

A celebration of life for Jane will be held at a later date.
