Marion, SC – James Lee "Jim" Trail, 71, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 21, 2021 at 2:00 pm. at Florence Memorial Gardens.  The family will have a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service in the Mausoleum Chapel. Entombment will follow the service.

Mr. Trail was born in Norfolk, VA, the son of the late Woodward and Jacqueline Gross Trail.  He was retired from the Florence County Sheriff's Dept. with 25 years of service as a Deputy Sheriff.

Surviving are his wife of 48 years, Shelia Shaffer Trail; sons, James Lee (Angela) Trail, Jr, Brian Richard (Alyssa) Trail; brothers, Woody (Joyce) Trail, Kenneth (Anna) Trail, John (Josephine) Trail, Timothy (Edna) Trail; sister, Clarissia (Calvin) Bosely and his loving grandchildren, Dakota Trail, Kristen Trail, Marshall Trail, Cassadi Morris, Robbie Spell, Rylee Trail and one-great- grandchild, Everett Trail;  a special aunt, Betty Robey and extended family of brother and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by a son, Christopher Lee Trail and a sister, Carol Sue Trail.
