James Lee Ray , Jr, 60 of Timmonsville, passed to his heavenly home on Friday, May 3, 2024.

Memorial services for Mr. Ray will be Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. at Palmetto Street Church of God.  The family will have a gathering of friends and family following the service at his home at 4746 Strap Court, Timmonsville.

James was the son of Bobbie Jean Ray.  He worked as a long distance truck driver before his illness.

Surviving are his wife Helen McDowell Ray; son, Chris (Rachel) Ray; daughter, Katie (Thomas) Sims; brothers, Edward Allen Ray; sister, Wanda Ray Sings and his beautiful grandchildren, Haven, Leigha, Carrington, Paisley, Colton, Mason and Raelee.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Danny Ray, who passed away one year ago.
