Mr. James Alston "Bubba" Lane, 92, entered into rest on Monday, February 16, 2026.

Born in Florence County, SC, he was a son of the late Francis Marion Lane and the late Bernice Tomlinson Lane. He served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a farmer for many years and later retired from the United States Post Office as a rural mail carrier.

He is survived by his sister, Hazel Lee (Kenneth); and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles Lane, Francis Lane, Vivian Lane, Joe Allen Lane; sister, Judy Lewis.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026, in Cartersville Baptist Church with a private burial to follow. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
