On Sunday, October 19, 2025 James Curtis Allen Jr. left his earthly home and went to his heavenly home.

A funeral service will be Wednesday, Oct 22, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. in the Layton-Anderson Funeral Home Chapel, Florence, SC.  The family will speak to those attending after the service.

Curtis was born in Florence County, the son of the late James Curtis Allen Sr. and Cecil Lorea. Curtis was a member of the Effingham Church of God. He loved Duck Dynasty and all things NASCAR.

He leaves behind a family who adored him including his wife, Brenda Anderson Allen; son, James Curtis Allen IV; daughter Jessica Banaduc; grandchildren, Danielle, Madison, Sierra, James, Valencia, Karina, and great-grandchildren, Bradley, Olivia, Waylon, Jordynn, Haden; he is also survived by sisters, Mary Harris (Daniel), Ann VanHoose, Betty Ivees (Leroy)
