Jim Alexander, 76, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2025 after a brief illness.

A graveside service will be Thursday, June 26, 2025 at High Noon (12:00) at Florence Memorial Gardens.  Family will speak to those attending at the graveside.

Born James Carl Alexander in Florence County, he was the son of the late Wilton K. and Beatrice Lloyd Alexander.  Jim served his country in the US ARMY and served in the Vietnam War.  He was employed with the South Carolina Employment Security Commission and worked as a Field Service Supervisor.  He enjoyed watching the Yankees and was a big Gamecock fan.  He attended Elim Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Gloria Calk ALexander; son, Jay and his wife, LeighAnn; daughter, Lori Alexander; brother, Hoyt Alexander; sisters, Virginia Dennis, Carolyn Welch, Evelyn McCutcheon; five grandchildren, Ian, Evan, Nolan, Regan, Max and great-grands, Lillian and Holden and a number of nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by a brother, Dewey Alexander and sister, Lois Dewitt.
