Timmonsville, SC – James Dwayne Collins, 46, died at his residence on Monday, July 18, 2016.

Funeral services will be Friday, July 22, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, Florence. Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens. The family will receive family and friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the Funeral Home.

Mr. Collins was born in Darlington, SC, the son of Mary Filyaw Gainey and the late James Collins. He was a Crane Operator with Nucor Steel.

Surviving are; his wife, Ashley Tedder Collins, Timmonsville; a son, Chandler Collins; a daughter, Carolina Collins; two sisters, Lynn (Pete Lawrence) Stone, Wanda (Walter) Capps; mother and father-in-law, Mickey and Barbara Tedder; brothers-in-law; Steve (Angie) Tedder and Tim (Kim) Tedder; a special aunt and uncle, Peggy and Wayne Pipkin and many nieces and nephews. Also surviving are his fur babies,"Happy Girl" and "Wild Man". He is preceded in death by his brother, Timmy Collins, and step-father, Jerry Gainey.
