Iris Broach Haithcock, 77, passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2025 after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be Monday April 14, 2025 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  The family will have a time of visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m.  A private burial will be held at a later time in the Florence National Cemetery.

Mrs. Haithcock was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late Simpere, Sr and Esther Parker Broach.  She was a member of Bethsaida Methodist Church.  Iris had a talent for decorating, baking and doing beautiful craft work.  She retired from ESAB.

Surviving are her husband, Danny Lee Haithcock; two sons, Ronald (Jerri) Powell and Mitchell (Krystina) Powell; two daughters, Robin Powell and Denise Powell; brother, Simpere Broach, Jr. and the love of her heart, 5 grandchildren, Brandon (Emily), Ron, Kaleb, Addy, Andrew, Danny Lee ( Melinda) and the newest addition to her family, great-granddaughter, IvyLynn.

The family ask that memorials be made to Bethsaida Methodist Church, C/O Bea Ann Holloman, 117 E. Christmas Circle, Effingham, SC  29541.
