Florence, SC – Ila Atkinson Flynn, 96, passed away peacefully on Thursday,Dec. 5, 2019 with her family at her side.

Funeral services will be Monday, Dec. 9, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens.  The family will have a time of visitation from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. before the service.

Ila was born in Darlington County, the daughter of the late Pliney Smith and Lena Gibson Atkinson.  She worked for many years as an Income Tax Clerk before retiring.

Surviving are a son, Tom ("BeBe") Flynn; daughter, Faye (Buddy) Camors; one brother, Bud (Joan) Atkinson; five sisters, Jean Atkinson, Joyce Atkinson, Juanita Hyman, Sarah Hayes and Shirley Graham; grandchildren, Bryan (Kelli) Flynn, Kimberly Flynn, Frank Flynn, Brandon Gaskins, Sylvia Smith, Emma Harris and Jessica Hutson and a number of great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a number of brothers and sisters.
