Timmonsville, SC – Hirfa Kennedy Walker, 79, passed away Sunday, Nov. 25, 2018 with her family at her side.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Byrd Cemetery in Timmonsville.  The family will have a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 prior to the service.

Hirfa was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late Robert B and Corrine Stone Kennedy.She had been a member of Glad Tidings Assembly Church and most recently attended First Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church.  She was a homemaker devoted to her children and her family.

She was the married to the late Billy Walker who passed away in 2004.

Surviving are her children, Steven (Crystal) Walker, Greg (Marcia) Walker, Karen (Michael) Tarte, Cindy (David) Martin; two sisters, Laura K. Stone, Lorraine (Lanney) McHargue; ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by sisters, Dorothy Coward and Vivian Hanna and brothers, Charles, Paul, Dorran, James C. and James G. Kennedy.
