Heyward C. Humphrey, 75, of Florence, left family and friends on this Sunday morning July 14, 2024 to wake up in his eternal home.

A Graveside Memorial Service will be Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. at Florence Memorial Gardens.  The family will speak to those attending after the service.

Heyward was born in Florence County, the son of the late Jack and Minnie Purvis Humphrey.  He was a handyman and loved working with his hands. Being outdoors was a special time for him.  He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and riding his motorcycles.

He is survived by a sister, Shirley Sawyer and her husband, C.J.; nephew, Cletus Sawyer and his wife Lacey; great niece, Bailee Sawyer.  He is preceded in death by a son, Thomy Humphrey.
