Florence, SC – Helen Price Ward, 88, passed away Friday, March 19, 2021.

A graveside service will be Sunday, March 21, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Sardis Baptist Church Cemetery, Timmonsville.  The family will speak to those attending after the service. Please wear your mask and social distancing will be observed.

Helen was the daughter of the late Christopher Bradley and Hazel Dempsey Price. Born in Ft. Worth, Texas, she grew up in Eufaula, Alabama.  After marrying, she moved to Marietta, Georgia.  She worked as a License Practical Nurse in area hospitals.  Helen was a member of the Roswell Street Baptist Church in Marietta, GA.  When she moved to Timmonsville she attended Sardis Baptist Church.

She was married to the late Le-Gary Ward.

Surviving are her children, LeeAnn (Mitchie) Powers, Gary (Jackie) Ward, David (Debbie) Ward, Chris (Amy) Ward; grandchildren, Van (Jennifer) Powers, Stacey (Brian) Moore, Victor (Lauren) Ward, Valerie (Tyler) Moore, Asher (Foster) Green, David Lee (Catherine) Ward, Riley Ward, Jack Ward, Diane Pentecost, Cheri Pentecost; great-grandchildren, Ayden, Micah, Caulder, Rylan Moore, Lydia, Nolan, Hunter, Hannah and Stella.  She is preceded in death by a sister, Gloria Boyce.

The family would like to Thank the staff of Heritage Home for taking care of  Mama during her six years there.  Also, Thanks to the Staff of Agape Hospice for her most recent care.
