Timmonsville- Grace Amerson Singletary, 77, died at her residence on Dec. 22, 2016 after an illness.

A funeral service will be Saturday, Dec. 24, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. The family will speak to those attending after the service.

Born in Lee County, SC., Grace was the daughter of the late Cecil Madison and Mattie Maurice Munn Amerson. She was a member of Bay Branch Free Will Baptist Church. Grace was 1st married to the late John William "Billy" Hudson and then to Charles Richard "Dick" Singletary.

Surviving are daughters, Connie (John) Thomas, Sheila Hudson and her life partner, Sylvia; sons, Ricky (Sheila) Singletary, Terry (Traci) Singletary, Bill (Michelle) Singletary; ten grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; Scott Amerson, a nephew that she raised.

She is preceded in death by brothers, David, Cecil Jr, Jimmy C. Amerson and four sisters, Betty Gainey, Mary Kea, Ruby Howle, and Annette Ballard.
