Timmonsville, SC – Glenda Avant Gordon, 81, passed away on Wednesday, March 2, 2022.

Funeral services will be Sunday, March 6, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Byrd Cemetery in Timmonsville.  The family will have a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. before the service at the funeral Home.

Glenda was born in Robeson County, North Carolina the daughter of the late Cicero J. and Ada Elizabeth Long Avant.  She worked at Colonial Cutters Salon for 30 years before retiring as a Cosmetologist.

Glenda was married to the late James B. "Jimmy" Gordon, III.

Surviving are her brother, William H. "Bill" Avant; sister, Martha Avant (Joseph) Cook and several nieces and nephews.
