Georgia Kirby Lutts

Little Elm, Texas- Georgia Karen Kirby Lutts, 62, formerly of Timmonsville, died suddenly on May 16, 2015.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, June 6, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Bethany Cemetery near Timmonsville. The family will speak to visitors after the service at the cemetery. Funeral services were held in Texas on May 23, 2015.

Georgia was born in Florence, the daughter of Nellie Langston Kirby and the late Randall Kirby. She was a graduate of Southside High School Class of 1970. She received an Associate degree from Florence-Darlington Tech in Secretarial Science, in 1972. Georgia was heavily involved in the ministries of her church in Texas. She often visited and wrote cards of encouragement to those who were ill or having surgery. She also loved to travel, she and her husband recently concluded a 10,000 mile trip across the southern United States. Georgia was an avid cook, she enjoyed music, reading and spending time with her beloved cat, Ash.

Surviving are her devoted husband, Guy Lutts, of Little Elm, Texas; a daughter, Desiree Thomas Jinks, and her husband Brian of Grand Prairie, Texas; a sister, Rhonda Kirby Lee and her husband Rudy, of Timmonsville and a new grandson Colton Thomas Jinks.

Memorials may be made to Carrollton Church of the Nazarene, Organ Fund, 1529 Hebron Parkway, Carrollton, Texas 75010.
