George “Robin” Plummer, 85, entered into rest on Monday, July 13, 2026. He was born in Darlington County, SC, to the late Woodrow Wilson Plummer and the late Sammie Morrell Plummer.

Robin was a farmer, a husband, a father, a “Poppa,” and most importantly, a believer. He was a member of Lake Swamp Baptist Church.

He was a self-taught Horticulturist and spent the greater part of his life running his business growing flowers from seed. All year round, he did what he loved, and loved what he did. After retirement, he loved working in his hobby garden and sitting out on his porch. On any given day, you could find him riding around on his golf cart, driving from one garden to the next, or just piddling in his yards with his wife.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Jeff Plummer and Joe Plummer.

Surviving are his wife of 66 years Patricia Plummer; his three children, Renee (Britt) Tucker, Randall (Leigh) Plummer and Tia (Fernando) Silva; his 7 grandchildren, Cody Plummer, Skye (Hunter) Cook, Bethany (Parker) Rau, Trace Tucker, Hart Silva, Miranda Plummer and Liam Silva; his great-grandchildren, Hazel and Shepard Rau; as well as his siblings, Charlie (Linda Darlene), Linda Faye (Bob) Stone, Polly Mercer, and Bill (Sylvia) Plummer; best friend, Mary Ham.

A memorial service to honor his life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 16, 2026, at Lake Swamp Baptist Church. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
