Harold "Gene" Marsh, 90, entered into rest on Saturday, March 28, 2026.

Born in Buckhannon WV , he was the son of the late Harold O. Marsh and the late Gail Arbogast Marsh Bennett. He was a member of Hew Hope Baptist Church. Harold was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and the Darlington Moose Lodge #565. He was a truck driver for many years until his retirement.

Surviving are his children, Rochelle Gifford (Stephen) of Florence, SC, Janice Marie Marsh of Norton, WV, Harold Marsh Jr. of Norton, WV, Gary Marsh (Lois) of Elkins, WV, Vanessa Marion (Mark) of Conway, SC, Greg Fox (Elizabeth) of Minerva, OH; sister, Rose Poling (Bud) of Philippi, WV; 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lucille V. Marsh; brothers, Frank Marsh, Donald Marsh; sister, Jane Kelly.

The family would like to express their gratitude to friends, Roy and Winnie Elmore, Pat McLeod, and the staff of Honorage Nursing Home for their loving care.

The family will hold a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2026, at New Hope Baptist Church.
