Timmonsville, SC – Gene "Dink" Lynch, 75, died in a local hospital after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens. A time of visitation will be Monday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Lynch was born in Olanta, SC, the son of the late Hoyt and Elizabeth Strickland Lynch. "Dink" served his country in the US Army. He was a self-employed Ceramic Tile Setter until he retired.

Surviving are his wife Dorothy "Candy" Howard Lynch, Timmonsville; two sons, Michael (William) Lynch, Lamar, Timmy (Debbie) Lynch, Hartsville; two brothers, Randy (Gail) Lynch, Phillip Lynch and two grandchildren, Michael (Jennifer) Lynch, Matt Lynch. He is preceded in death by two brothers, "Buck" and Jimmy Lynch and two sisters, Margaret Harrell, Annie Ruth Lynch.
