Timmonsville, SC – Fredis Blackmon Spring, 84, passed away on Sunday, March 31,2019.

Funeral services will be Thursday, April 4, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Sardis Baptist Church, Timmonsville. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will have a time of visitation Wednesday evening  from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Spring was born in Florence County, the son of the late Willie Byrtle and Noveline Blackmon Spring. He worked with Builders First Source of Florence before retiring. He was a member of Sardis Baptist Church.  He was a Sunday School teacher and a former Deacon of the Church.  Fredis enjoyed his family. He was an avid Coon Hunter, a member of the Black Creek Coon Hunters Assoc. He was inducted into the Coon Hunters Hall of Fame in 2012.

Fredis was married to the late Frances Workman Spring.

Surviving are two sons, Stephen (Mary) Spring, Fredis (Alba) Spring; a daughter, Cathy (Carter) Stokes; three brothers, Claude (Helen) Spring, Bert Spring, Dale (Valerie) Spring; three sisters, Betty Englehart, Pat Smith, Peggy Brown, and his three grandchildren, Carter Stokes, III, Tyler Spring, and Ashley Spring.  He is preceded in death by a brother, Carl Spring and a sister, Nellie Mimms.
