Timmonsville - Franklin James "Frank" Jeffords, 80, died suddenly, on Dec. 16, 2016.

A graveside service will be held at the National Cemetery in Florence, Dec. 19, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. The family will hold a time of visitation from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., Sunday Dec. 18, 2016 at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.

Mr. Jeffords was born in Timmonsville, SC the son of the late Rene and Mae Alford Jeffords. Frank was a pilot in the US Army (retired) and served two tours in Viet Nam. He was a member of Timmonsville United Methodist Church.

Surviving are his wife Jackie Simpson Jeffords; two sons, Donald Earl Jeffords, Warner Robins, GA, Jamerson McKiver ( Megan C.) Jeffords, Florence; three daughters, Fredna (Bobby) Barnhill, Mullins, Samantha (William) Harris, Florida, Margaret Jeffords Privette, Hartsville; special niece and nephew, James and Harriett Henderson and fifteen (15) grands and great-grands, and his canine and feline companions, Mag, Bubba, Cookie, Bailey and Sampson.
