Timmonsville - Frances Workman Spring, 81, died on Monday, March 20, 2017 at the McLeod Hospice House.

A Funeral service will be Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. at Sardis Baptist Church.Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be Tuesday, March 21,2017 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Spring was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late Wilson Durwood and Elaine Lawhon Workman. She was a member of Sardis Baptist Church. Frances taught the pre-school children for many years. She was involved with many of the church activities. She attended Winthrop College, studied radiology and worked in Dr. Pavy's Office as the X-ray Technician for 22 years before retiring.

Surviving are her husband of 61 years,Fredis B.Spring, Timmonsville; daughter, Cathy (Carter) Stokes, Timmonsville; two sons, Stephen (Mary) Spring, Timmonsville, Fredis (Rosalba) Spring, II, West Palm Beach, FLA; sisters, Jean Gee, Columbia, Linda (Ike) Locklair, Conway; three grandchildren,Carter Stokes, III, Tyler Spring, Ashley Spring and seven step-grandchildren, Luis Pinto, Veronica Pinto, Vanessa Pinto, David Pinto, Amanda Floyd, Michael Floyd, Robert Floyd and a great grandchild, Derrick. She is preceded in death by a brother, Robert "Pete" Workman.
