Florence- Frances Pearl Wilson Hamlin, 84, died Monday Nov. 21, 2016 at the McLeod Hospice House after an illness. A Funeral Service will be Friday, Nov. 25, 2016 at 2:00 p.m in the Bethea Baptist Chapel. The family will speak with those attending before the service beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Tabernacle Cemetery in Lynchburg, SC. Frances was born in Lee County, the daughter of the late Corbett Livingston and Mary Rose Sansbury Wilson. She was a State Supervisor with GTE South with 33 years of service, before retiring. Frances was a member of Bethea Baptist Chapel. She enjoyed her service in the Pilot Club of Kingstree, she served as a Director of the Lake City Chamber of Commerce. Frances served on numerous boards in Williamsburg and Florence County. Surviving are: a son, Greg (Angela) Hamlin, Florence, SC; two daughters, Lynda (Will) Brittain, Taylors, SC, Ruth (Alex Webb) Ricci Belton, SC ; two brothers, Hugh Wilson, Lady Island, SC, James W. Wilson, Bishopville, SC; two sisters, Mary Barwick, Manning, Kathleen Washburn, Lynchburg; a grandchild, Jon (Ellie) Placko and three great-grandchildren, Sydney, Natalie and Nathan Placko and a number of special nieces and nephews.
