Florence, SC -  Florence Elmore Strother, 85, passed away on Dec. 20, 2022.

Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 23, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  The family will speak to those attending after the service.

Burial will be private.

Florence was born in Florence, SC, the daughter of the late Claude Miller and Letha Clemmons Elmore.  She attended New Hope Baptist Church.  She was a waitress with the Howard Johnson Restaurant for many years.

Surviving are sons, Lester (Jenny) Elmore, Laurie (Vickie) Dennis, Jerry (Teresa) Dennis, Ronnie Dennis, Terry (Lynda) Dennis; brother, Roy (Winnie) Elmore; sister, Jenny (Ken) Hodson and her grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by sons, Larry and Donnie Dennis, brothers, Kelly, LaVerne, and Joseph Elmore and sisters, Alice and Mary Lou.
