Faye McKay Severance, 90 passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024 in peaceful surroundings and in the presence of her family.

Funeral services will be Friday, August 16, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  The family will have a time of visitation beginning at 1:00 p.m. before the service.  Burial will be at a later time at Florence Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Severance was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late Walter and Melba Jones McKay.  She was retired from the Social Security Administration.   Faye attended the Church on King Avenue.  She enjoyed working in her garden, loved baking, and sharing with others the things she made.

Faye was married to the late Wayne S. Severance.

Surviving are two sons, Stan (Carolyn) Severance, Reed (Sandy) Severance; her grandchildren, Leah Severance, Ethan Severance, Miranda Severance, Madeline Severance and many nieces and nephews.  Faye is preceded in death by three brothers, Thomas McKay, Laverne McKay, Willie McKay and two sisters, Jacqueline Corey and Betty Greer.
