Timmonsville- Everett James "Joe" Conyers, 87, died in a local hospital Saturday, Jan. 31, 2015.

Graveside services will be Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. at Florence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:30 to 3:30 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home,Florence.

Mr. Conyers was born in Florence County, the son of the late Waitus and Lillie Ginn Conyers. He served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict. "Joe" was the President and co-owner of Service Station Equipment Company, specializing in installation and service of equipment.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Judy Howard Conyers, Timmonsville; two daughters, Debra Conyers, Murrells Inlet, SC, Linda (Gene) Nettles, Florence and a grand-daughter,Kristen Nettles.
