Evelyn Knox Teague, 93 of Hickory, NC, passed away on July 4, 2020.

The funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2020 at the Catawba Funeral Home in Hickory, NC. A visitation will be held from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the service.  Interment will follow in Catawba Memorial Park.

Evelyn was born in Burke County, North Carolina, the daughter of the late James Garfield and Ada Sally Evans Knox.  She was a member of Bible Baptist Church of Hickory.  Before retiring, she was an Order Clerk with a hosiery mill.   Evelyn lived a long full life enjoying her family, traveling and playing cards with friends.

She was married to the late James H. Teague, Jr.

Surviving are 3 children, Wayne (Connie) Teague, Violet Teague (Bob) Patterson, Rachel Teague Jones; nine grandchildren, Todd Teague, Heather Taylor, DeeDee Patterson, Denise Patterson, Dawn Patterson, Denita Patterson, Rusty Jones, Heather Teague, Tammy Holloway; 24 great-grandchildren, six great great-grandchildren and a beloved niece, Billie Marie Wray Parkhurst.  She is preceded in death by a son, Harold Teague, son-in-law, Bill Jones, granddaughter, Jenny Jones, 3 brothers, Clyde, Wayne and Paul Knox, two sisters, Betty Lou Knox and Peggy Lindsey Townsend.
