Ernest Morris, 79, passed away on Tuesday evening, March 11, 2025 after an illness.

Funeral services will be Saturday, March 15, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. at Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive family and friends before the service at the church beginning at 12:00 noon.

Mr. Morris was born in Clarendon County, SC, the son of the late Dannie and Edna Morris.  He attended Sparrow Swamp Baptist Church.  Ernest was retired from Asplundh Tree Service.   He enjoyed spending time with his family.

Surviving are his wife, Sylvia Thornbrew Morris; sons, Jason Chittwood, Christopher Morris, Chad (Jena) Morris; daughter, Debra (Joey) Hines; brothers, LeVern (Ann) Morris, Carey (Sheila) Morris; sisters, Elaine Dozier, Joanne Arnn and 12 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by a son Ernest Morris, Jr.
