Mr. Ennis Scott, 68, entered into rest on Friday, May 15, 2026. Born in Laurinburg, NC, he was a son of the late Roy and Mary Anna Locklear Scott.
Mr. Scott proudly served his country in the United States Army and later served his community as a police officer. He attended Palmetto Church of God. He was known for his wonderful sense of humor and his love for the Clemson Tigers and the Dallas Cowboys. He enjoyed muscle cars and drag racing, and was a skilled mechanic who could fix just about anything. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family, whom he loved dearly.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Teressa D. Scott; children, Lynn Zamarripa, Tiffany Dahunsi (Tolulope), Heather McNeill, (Rodney "J.J."), Denise Allison (Chap), Jana Sellers; siblings, James Robert Scott (Linda), Mary Jane Goins, Pearl Rogers (Tommy); grandchildren, Kayla Strickland, Gabriel Pesqueira (Daisy), Brannon Ikner (Hannah), Braxton Smith, Emelio Pesqueira (Chastity), Amber Grant (Jeremy), Taylor Pedersen (Michael), Kari Pedersen (Colton), Haily Todd, Cameron Pedersen, Trinity Pesqueira, Emma Allison, Lael Stone, Laundree Walls; 8 great-grandchildren. He also had a special bond with his mother-in-law, Janice Nolan.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Ella Cummings, Frank Scott, Roy Scott, Jr., John Alan Locklear, Frances Canipe, Stacey Locklear, Margaret Locklear, Bernice Williams.
A funeral service to honor his life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, in the Chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. Entombment will follow at Chatham Hill Memorial Gardens Mausoleum in Cheraw, SC. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
