Elizabeth "Libby" Singletary Jeffords, 87, passed away on Saturday June 8, 2019.

A memorial service will be Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. at Ridgecrest Baptist Church.  A time of visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. before the service at the church.

Elizabeth was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late William Walter and Lyra Matthews Singletary.  She was a graduate of Elim High School.  She was given the honor of Valedictorian of her class. "Libby" was a charter member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church.  She had served as the church secretary, and enjoyed singing in the choir.  She retired from DuPont after 32 years of service in the Accounting Department.  She taught accounting at Florence-Darlington Tech for a number of years.

She was first married to the late S. Clemmons Anderson and then to the late Tommy A. Jeffords.

Surviving are three sons, Walter Anderson, Clemmons "Clem" Anderson, and Tommy Jeffords, Jr; two brothers, Bill Singletary and Robert Singletary; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by three sisters, JoAnn Saverance, Jean Wood and Francis Starling.
