Monroe, NC - Elizabeth Jane Cramer Akehurst, 91, formerly of Timmonsville, SC passed away August 3, 2017 at Autumn Care of Marshville, NC.

A time of visitation will be Sunday August 6, 2017 beginning at 4:00 p.m until 6:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. Burial will be at a later time.

Elizabeth was born in St. Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of the late Clarence Hugo and Elizabeth Agnes Swartzbauer Kraemer.

She was the wife of the late Chester Mitchell, Ben Risher and Thomas Akehurst.

Surviving are her son, Brett Mitchell and his wife, Karen of Timmonsville; daughter, Phyllis Strider and her husband, Ray of Indian Trail, NC; four grandchildren, two great- grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Layton-Anderson Funeral Home, 4210 W. Palmetto Street, Florence is assisting the Family with arrangements.
