Effingham, SC- Effie Mae Price Blackburn, 82, passed away on Friday, July 20, 2018.

A private Entombment was held on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at Florence Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Blackburn was born in Marion, NC, the daughter of the late Ossie Webb and Cora Moses Price. She attended Ridgecrest Baptist Church. She sang in the church choir.

Effie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who was dearly loved and will be sadly missed.

Effie was married to the late Carroll L. Blackburn.

Survivors are her daughter, Brenda B. (Wayne) Hinson; a son, Eugene Blackburn;a brother,Gary D.Price; sister,Lille Robinson; two grandchildren,Jennifer(James) Ransome, Chad Powell,Crystal (Jonathan) Rivers, Brandy Blackburn, Jason (Lindsay) Blackburn and two great-grandchildren, Katelyn Rileigh Ransome, River James Ransome. She is preceded in death by a son, Donald R. Blackburn, sisters, Ima, Velma and her brothers, Robert, Oscar, Paul and Gene Price.
