Edward A. Harper
Timmonsville, SC – Edward Arnold Harper, 77, passed away on Wednesday, June 19, 2019.
Funeral services will be Friday, June 21, 2019 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Byrd Cemetery, Timmonsville, SC. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. before the service at the funeral home.
Mr. Harper was born in Timmonsville, the son of the late Samuel F. and Mable Phelps Harper.
Ed served his country in the US Army. He was a life member of Amity Lodge 340 and Omar Shrine Temple. He was a York Rite, Past Director and Treasurer of Omar Imps and Past President, Emeritus Treasurer and Secretary of SASCA. He was a member of Southside Baptist Church, Darlington, SC. Before retiring he was a Commercial Contractor.
He was married to the late Lucille Harper.
Surviving are two daughters, Terry Harper, Patricia Harper McIntyre; grandchildren, Tamera M. Ingle, Kelsi Harper Camak and five great-grandchildren, one on the way and one great-great grandchild; one sister, Ellen Harper Mature; one brother, Donald (Judy) Harper.
The family would like to "Thank" the staff of Heritage Nursing Home and McLeod Hospice House for the loving care given to Mr. Harper during his stay.
