Timmonsville, SC – Edna Watford Powers, 96, passed away peacefully on Monday Jan. 27, 2020.

A Funeral service will be Saturday, Feb. 1, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at Lake Swamp Baptist Church, Timmonsville. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will have a time of visitation prior to the service  at  2:00 to 3:00 p.m.  The family will be at the home of Patsy Plummer at other times.

Edna was born in Darlington County, the daughter of the late Leveen Hartwell and Polly Spires Watford.  She was a longtime member of Lake Swamp Baptist Church.  Before retiring, she was a re-inspector for Dixie Cup of Darlington.

Edna was married to the late Merial G. Powers for 68 years at the time of his passing.

Surviving are a son, Robert (Julie) Powers; daughter, Patsy (Robin) Plummer; two brothers, Frank (Mary) Watford, Bud Watford; five grandchildren, Renee (Britt) Tucker, Randall (Leigh) Plummer, Tia (Fernando) Silva, Heath (Shanti) Powers, Lance (Erin) Powers and eleven great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two brothers and five sisters.
