Timmonsville, SC – Edith Locklair Welch, 83, died in a local nursing center on Tuesday, May 16, 2017.

Funeral services will be Thursday, May 18, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Bay Branch Free Will Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will have a time of visitation Wednesday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mrs. Welch was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late English and Pearl Sturgeon Locklair. She was a member of Bay Branch Free Will Baptist Church. Edith was an Office Assistant at the Presbyterian Home before her retirement.

She was married to the late Monroe Welch.

Surviving are two daughters, Cindy (Jay) Coleman, Debbie (Mike) Weaver; six grand-children, Brad Miller, Lacey Miller, Joel Weaver, Adam Weaver, Jordan Weaver and Dillon Weaver and two great-grandchildren, MaKayla Miller-Schweikart, Hunter Weaver.
