Dwight Haynes, 76, of Florence, died Saturday May 14, 2016 at the McLeod Hospice House.

A funeral service will be Tuesday, May 17, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Haynes was born in Florence, SC, the son of the late Willie C. and Edith Hines Haynes. He was employed with McGee Electric as an electrician.

Surviving are three sons, Garris (Evelyn) Haynes, Columbia, Jody (Sharon) Haynes, Lamar, Mark Haynes, Florence; a daughter, Nora (Billy) McDonald, Florence; a sister, Sheryl Hatchell, Florence and four grandchildren, Will (Sara) McDonald, John Curtis McDonald, Courtney Haynes, Bailey Haynes. He is preceded in death by brothers, Willie "Bo" Haynes and Earl "Bubba" Haynes, and two sisters, JoAnn Rushing and Elizabeth Patterson.
