Florence, SC – Dottie Jean Melton Broach, 86, passed away on Monday, Sept. 30, 2019

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2019 at 12:00 at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens.  The family will have a time of visitation from 11:00 to 12:00 noon before the service at the Funeral Home. The family will be at 2338 Cascade Ave, Florence, SC.

"Miss Dottie" was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late David Wilber and Janie Belle Greene Melton.  She was a member of West Florence Church of God.  Dottie worked for Electromotive Company and then as a Nursing Assistant for the Special Needs and Disabilities before retiring.

She was married to the late Charlie McMaster Broach, Jr.

Surviving are her children, Michael "Glenn" (Peggy) Broach, Charles M. (Judy) Broach,Darryle E. Broach; two daughters, Sharon Anne Paris and Gloria Broach; sister, Lottie Miles and six grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by a daughter, Barbara Gaymon; two sons, Joey and Richard Broach; two sisters, Louhrea Hicks, Sylvia Purvis and two brothers, Luther and Ned Melton.
