Timmonsville, SC.- Dorothy Abbott Sansbury, 79 passed away on Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018 in a local hospital.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. at Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Salem United Methodist Church Cemetery, Timmonsville.The family will have a time of visitation from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday evening.

Dorothy was born in Peacham,Vermont, the daughter of the late Edmund Blanchard and Elizabeth Beers Abbott. She was a registered nurse retiring from McLeod's Hospital with 43 years of service. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church.

Dorothy was married to the late Theo Louis Sansbury.

Surviving are two sons, Bryan Sansbury, Robert (Phanessa) Sansbury; a sister, Ginger Nestor; and her grandchildren, Alexa Rose Sansbury, and Blake Allan Sansbury.
