Lamar- Dorothy Ellen Freeman,77,died in a local hospice facility after a short Illness.

Funeral services will be Monday, August 17, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at the Lamar Cemetery, Lamar, SC. Visitation will be from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. before the service at the Funeral Home.

Ms. Freeman was born in Darlington County, the daughter of the late Thomas J.and Martha Mancill Freeman. She was the receptionist in the medical practice for Dr. Griffin in Lamar for 40 years.

Surviving is her brother, Lester Freeman, Lamar; sister-in-law Nyoka Freeman and special nieces and nephews.
