Florence- Doris Lee Moore, 79, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2016 in the McLeod Hospice House in Florence.

Funeral services will be Saturday, January 9, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Florence Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the service. The family will receive family and friends at the home prior to and after the service on Saturday.

Doris was born in Florence, the daughter of the late Darby and Leola Miles Lee. She was a devout follower and servant of our Lord, Jesus Christ. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed preparing all year for Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles David "Ray" Moore and her grandson, Russell Scott Moore.

She is survived by her children, Sharon Burch, Sandy (Del) Armstrong, Barry (Susan) Moore, Wes (Judy) Moore; grandchildren, Travis Moore, Heath (Ashley) Burch, Darby (Goosie) Kennedy, Kaitlyn (Matt) Grimes, Aubury Burch, Lauren Moore, Caroline Moore and Martin Moore; great - grandchildren, Trivett Kennedy, Adelynn Kennedy, Kessley Kennedy, Connor Burch and Charlee Jones-Grimes; sisters, Margaret Carter, Harriett (Glenn) Ard and a brother, Gene (Ann) Lee and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. She is preceded in death by brothers, Willard, Harry, Robert and Rudolph Lee, a sister, Janie Powers.
