Darlington, SC – Doris Marie Anderson Hinds, 76, passed away at the McLeod Hospice House.

A funeral service will be Sunday, Nov. 12, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Sansbury Cemetery in Timmonsville, SC. The family will have a time of visitation from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. before the service at the funeral home.

Doris was born in Florence County, the daughter of the late John Monroe, Sr, and Ada Mae Tarte Anderson. She was a member of Greenwood Baptist Church.

Surviving are a daughter, Ginger Cooper, Florence; brothers, Ronald Wayne (Peggie) Anderson, John Monroe (Mary Lee) Anderson, Jr. all of Florence; sister, Judy Ann (Bill) Boone, Florence; grandchildren, Robert "Scott" (Lindsay) Keefe, Jr, Ashley Marie (Brandon) Gaskin, Amanda K. (Neil) Roselli and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by a brother, John Edward Anderson, sisters, Johnnie Mae Cornett, Ginger Louise Anderson, Audrey Lynette Anderson.
