Doris D. Hayes, 88, entered into rest on Sunday, July 19, 2026, surrounded by her family. Born in Florence, SC, she was a daughter of the late Raymond Rollins Dairty and the late Alma Conyers Dairty.

She attended St. Matthew Christian Church. Doris retired from Southern Office Supply in Hartsville after many years of service. She was a member of the Pilot Club. Her happiest moments were those spent surrounded by the love of her family and friends. She will be missed immensely.

Surviving are her daughter, Cindy McKenzie; sons, Don Hayes (Pam), Todd Hayes (Andrea); grandchildren, David Martin (Gwen), Ashley King (Justin), Emma Hayes, Julia Hayes, Ava Hayes, Llya Hayes, Grady Hayes; great-grandchildren, Caidence Johnson, Nash King; honorary grandsons, Joey Dority, Will Moody.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Hayes; brothers, JB Dairty, Ray Dairty; sister, Dot Schipper; granddaughter, Whitney Martin.

A funeral service to honor her life will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, July 22, 2026, in the Chapel of Layton-Anderson Funeral Home with the Rev. Champ Squires officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. A private entombment will be held at Florence Memorial Gardens Mausoleum.
