Timmonsville, SC – Donald E. Ward, 76, died in a Florence hospital on Thursday evening with his family at his side.

A graveside service will be Sunday, Feb. 26, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at the Lamar Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home and at other times at 112 N. Watford Road , Timmonsville.

Don was born in Florence County, the son of the late Earl and Iris Dorriety Ward.He worked with Suburban Gas Company for years as a service associate and driver. He grew up in a farming community and spent many years farming. He was a member of Timmonsville First Baptist Church.

Don was married to the late Sandra McCoy Ward.

Surviving are; two sons Donald Ray (Tammy) Ward, Bradley Dale "Brad" (Stacie) Ward all of Timmonsville; a brother, Billy (Fannie) Ward; sister, Shirley Holiday; grandchildren, Travis (Kayla) Ward, Courti (Nick) Grimsley, Austin Ward, Carson Ward, Allie Ward and two great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by brothers, Arnold, Alvin and Marion Ward.
